The Davidson County Democratic Black Caucus works in conformity with the Davidson County Democratic Party and represents the Black constituency of the Democratic Party of Davidson County. The purpose of the Davidson County Democratic Black Caucus is to engage African-American Nashville/Davidson County Democrats in the political and legislative processes and within the party, ensure appropriate African-American representation in Davidson County Democratic party positions, recruit and support candidates committed to African-American concerns, and to raise awareness of its constituent issues within Davidson County (Nashville) to elected and appointed officials.
The Davidson County Democratic Black Caucus is open to all Democrats in Davidson County/Nashville, Tennessee, who support the objectives of the Davidson County Democratic Party, Tennessee Democratic Party, and the Democratic National Committee. Membership in this Caucus is available regardless of race, color, creed, age, gender, national origin, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
